Vacation in Dubai: Hotel or Holiday apartment?
Dubai is one of the unique tourist destinations with almost year-round beach vacations, numerous opportunities for family vacations, developed transport infrastructure and a high level of security. Therefore, guests of Dubai have a wide selection of hotels with different levels of stars and located both on the coastline near the sea and in business or more affordable areas. However in recent years, rental apartments have become very popular, which are rented daily by management companies or owners of the apartments in different areas of the city.
So what are the advantages and disadvantages of Holiday apartments compared to living in a hotel?
For several years we have been offering apartments fot vacation rent near the Dubai seacost, so we would like to share our experience.
Vacation Rental: Advantages
The benefits are large area, convenient and close proximity to the beach, the ability to host a large company or family as well as attractive prices. The attractiveness of renting the apartments compared to hotels is especially evident for large families and groups. For example a family of 6 people has to buy up to 3 hotel rooms to stay. At the same time, a three-room apartment, which comfortably accommodates 6 guests, will cost three times cheaper than buying three rooms in a neighboring hotel.
First of all, we invite large families with children, therefore we offer apartments within walking distance to the beach (3-10 minutes), which are almost on the first line. These are the most attractive areas for tourists in Dubai:
✔️ Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), located along city beaches;
✔️ Palm Jumeirah, whose residences have private beaches and shared infrastructure with 5-star hotels.
The cost of living in apartments is 30-50% lower than the cost of standard rooms in hotels in the neighborhood. Of course, their cost can not be compared with the cost of rooms, for example, in Al Barsha or Deira, which are much further from the beaches (20-30 minutes to the beach) and have a another infrastructure.
Vacation rental: Disadvantages
The drawbacks are lack of daily cleaning and breakfast and doubts about the quality of services. Of course, for some tourists the lack of organized daily cleaning may be a decisive argument when choosing a place to stay. For tourists who are considering primarily the cost of living, we offer detergents and self-cleaning products.
The apartments are a 1-5 minute walk from supermarkets, caffee shops and restaurants. Therefore guests have a wide choice not only to have breakfast, but to cook in the fully equipped kitchen.
Compared to hotels, the reliability and high level of service for some guests may be in doubt, therefore when choosing apartments, we would advise you to check the profiles of managers and the apartments themselves at portals such as Booking.com and Airbnb.com.
Ask for links to apartments from management companies. Promotion of apartments in these largest portals ensures the transparency of management companies through mechanisms to ensure the quantity and quality of services. It will also be useful to read guest reviews about the apartment you like in terms of cleanliness, services, comfort, staff, location, value for money, communication comfort.
