In III quarter 2015 the volume of foreign investment in property in Italy amounted to € 1,3 billion, which is 9% more than in II quarter of this year. In just 9 months of the current year the volume of property investments in Italy reached € 5,1 billion relates portal Italy 24, citing data from a recent study of the consulting company CBRE.
The biggest flow of investments in the commercial and residential property in Italy comes from the citizens of China (27%). They are followed by the Americans (22%) and Germans (16%). The volume of investments in the economy of Italy by German nationals was in the first 9 months of the year € 300 million. 21% of this amount came in property. Germany is the leading European country that invests in residential and commercial real estate in Italy.
With regard to the citizens of China, despite the crisis in the country, the volume of investment in European real estate on their part will not decrease, the report said.
Also in the study CBRE noted that the Italian property market doesn’t have enough assets for investments, as well as objects that are 100% ready for sale, as large investors looking for high-yield investments and are reluctant to invest in properties that requires renovations.
Yields in Italy close to pre-crisis level of 4%.
